Zakouma is one of the last places on earth where thousands of elephants roam together. But as perennial rains arrive to replenish the desert landscape, some 3,500 elephants seek better forage outside the park perimeter, where poachers await them.

Cordyceps: is a genus of ascomycete (Sac Fungi) fungi that includes about 400 described species. All Cordyceps species are endoparasitoids, mainly on insects and other arthropods (they are thus entomopathogenic fungi); a few are parasitic on other fungi.

At Arboretum Kalmthout Belgium a Jambolan tree is flowering, it can be up to twenty years before they start flowering. This is the fifth time in Europe that is flowering. Emmenopterys henryi was described by Ernest Henrey Wilson as “one of the most strikingly beautiful trees of Chinese forest” ( the year of 1890) He found this tree at Yichang.
